It is important to know about standard of living because it helps people understand how people in other countries live and if they are struggling to meet their needs or not. It also helps people see that they might be living a very fortunate life even if they don't think they are, if they have all their needs met they have a very fortunate life. Economics and standard of living can be analysed using 5 themes of geography because the places, region, location, movement, human and environment interactions help describe an area and define an area. Economics and standard of living also define an area.
